Introducing the New PACCAR TX-18 Transmission Series.

At Rush Truck Centers, our mission is to provide you with quality trucks and premier support programs that keep you up and running. That is why we’re excited to soon offer trucks equipped with the new TX-18 PACCAR 18-speed automated series of transmissions.

Unveiled by PACCAR in February 2022, every component of the TX-18 transmission series has been engineered to deliver uncompromising uptime and fuel efficiency, reduced weight and quieter operation.

Offered in Peterbilt Models 567, 579 and 389, these transmissions can handle the 1,850 pound-feet of maximum torque available from the PACCAR MX-11 and MX-13 engines.

Features and Benefits:

  • Up to 140,000 lbs. GCWR when combined with MX engine
  • Cooler-less design available for GCWR <110k lbs.
  • Up to 2% fuel economy improvement and 225 lbs. lighter when compared to Ultrashift Plus
  • Best in class PTO functionality with 160 HP available and dual PTO standard
  • Twin countershaft design with helical gears for higher engine torque
  • 1 to 6 configurable reverse speeds
  • Longer maintenance intervals — up to 500,000 miles depending on application
